Diego Alonso, a senior at Fountain Valley High in California, won the Division 1 boys varsity blue race by covering the 2.93-mile layout in 15:22 at the 75th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational Presented by Nike in Walnut, Calif. Alonso helped Fountain Valley match Warren with 82 points, but the Barons were edged for the team victory on a sixth-runner tiebreaker.
